Life Science Alley Member Breakfast 4–11

Today, April 29, 2011, Grove Ridge Consulting’s Pres­i­dent, Glo­ria Rood attended a Life Sci­ence Alley Mem­ber Break­fast with Vickie O’Neill, Pres­i­dent of Orchard Pharma.  The break­fast was at the Ris­dall Mar­ket­ing Build­ing in New Brighton, MN.  For a change, the weather was warm with sunny skies.  It appears that we are head­ing toward our one month of summer!!!

Life Sci­ence Alley, in con­junc­tion with the BioBusi­ness Alliance of Min­nesota are key Min­nesota non-profit orga­ni­za­tions com­mit­ted to invest and grow Life Sci­ence com­merce in and around Min­nesota. Min­nesota has the largest per capita num­ber of Med­ical Device employ­ees. Because of this, main­te­nance and growth of this indus­try is crit­i­cal to the Min­nesotan economy.

The break­fast was well attended by rep­re­sen­ta­tives from a diverse pro­file of Life­Science pro­fes­sion­als.  Atten­dees included:

• Agri­cul­ture
• Vet­eri­nary products

Ms. O’Neill and I sup­port phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal and biotech devel­op­ment. There are few tra­di­tional phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal com­pa­nies in the Twin Cities area (metro Minneapolis/St. Paul). We are com­mit­ted to learn­ing what needs the MN biotech indus­try requires and how we can fill those gaps.
